Privacy and data handling

Gargamel / Family Radar is a private household assistant operated by its account holder.

Information and purpose

The configured read-only Google connections let Gargamel read family email and attachments and documents deliberately shared with the assistant, including Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. It uses this information to understand family plans, remember relevant details, prepare suggestions and schedule follow-ups.

Storage and processing

Originals, extracted content, useful memory and processing receipts are kept in the operator’s local workspace and configured household storage. Selected content is processed through the operator’s configured OpenClaw and AI services, including OpenAI. Public research uses the configured Google research service and its configured fallback. Family notices and suggestions may be delivered through the configured Telegram family chat. Content deliberately shared through family sources is available to the household.

Access credentials are kept separately from family memory. Google data is not sold or used for advertising. Its use of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy and Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including their Limited Use requirements.

Control and retention

The account holder can revoke Google access in their Google Account permissions. Revoking access stops future retrieval but does not automatically erase existing local records or backups. The household operator controls the assistant’s stored records, backups and deletion. Contact the household operator directly for access or deletion requests.
